Creative Movement gives two year-olds creative development, rhythmic skills, and a foundation for motor development. This 30-minute class allows children to move freely and develop a love for dance.
Tiny Tutus is for preschool children 3 -5 years old. Tiny Tutus includes ballet and tap, with a strong emphasis on creative movement. Creative movement enhances the development of fine motor skills as they run, skip, leap, stretch, coordinate, isolate and move to music.
Rookie classes combine genres of dance for children Kindergarten through 2nd grade. We offer a Ballet and Tap Fusion Class and a Jazz and Hip Hop Fusion class. These are great starter classes for the novice dancer to introduce them to the more structured side of dance technique and instruction.
Novice classes are for dancers aged 7 and older. These are the foundational classes needed to learn the basics of the genre being taught. With a proper foundation in place a dancer can fully build and grow properly in order to master the skills necessary to move up to the next level of classes.
These classes are the next level progression after novice classes. A dancer must be recommended by an instructor or take a placement test. In these classes, dancers build upon the foundation they were taught in novice and expand upon their knowledge and skills. Most dancers will spend the most amount of time at this level before moving up to the next.
These are some of our highest level classes. A dancer must be recommended by an instructor or take a placement test. At this level, dancers are expected to have a solid dance foundation, skills and knowledge to really learn the highest level of dance technique. These level classes will push a dancer to their physical limits and ability to reach their highest potential.
Mastering class is reserved for our ballet genre. Ballet teaches more technique than any other genre and requires the highest level of skill. At this level, dancers learn how to incorporate every foundational skill into their growth of ballet.
